More Christmas Cards

Hi, Thank you for visiting!

I've posting a couple of cards I made this afternoon to give with my holiday catalogues:

I was in a red, green and white mood and looking for cards that would suit an Australian Christmas. This card is in Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White and uses the new dies from Frosted Frames dies - I LOVE these dies! The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and the rhinestones are from the new Holiday Rhinestones pack.

The next two cards use paper from the Brightly Gleaming DSP and the new Delicata Gold ink. The dies are from Stitched Stars, the sentiment is from So Many Stars and the bow is made using Garden Green Double-Stitched Ribbon.

We had snow yesterday and overnight and I wouldn't be surprised if we had more tonight. It has been a very frosty day, therefore perfect for staying inside and making cards!

I hope you are having a wonderful day too,

My Card for a Holiday Catalogue Swap

Hi,

Thank you for visiting. Today was freezing and we had some snow and rain in Canberra, so I spent the day making lots of these cards to share in a Holiday Catalogue swap with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators in Australia. Soon I will have about 15 beautiful cards to share with you from other demonstrators, using products from the Holiday Catalogue.

Tomorrow I am hoping to make some cards to send for birthdays and just to say hello, once I've finished some housework - my reward!

Please contact me if you'd like to know how to make this card or if you want to find out about the products used.

Stay warm if you're in the southern part of Australia!

Another Sneak Peek Christmas Card from the New Holiday Catalogue

Welcome to my blog - thank you for visiting!

I made a quick card last night using some other products from the holiday catalogue:

Information about this card:

Card base is Pretty Peacock cardstock.

Second layer is Night of Navy cardstock.

Third layer uses paper from Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper.

Whisper White cardstock for the 4th layer, cut using a die from the Frosted Frames Dies.
I've put the new Real Red Curly Ribbon and a Night of Navy diecut from Stitched Stars behind the large star (also cut using the largest Stitched Stars star).

The large star is paper from Feels Like Frost 6x6 Specialty Designer Series Paper. I've added smaller stars from the Stitched Stars dies in Silver, Night of Navy and Pear Pizzazz cardstock.

The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy and is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set. I've inked around the sentiment and the third layer to blend them in more and used Stampin' Dimensionals to add depth.

I have the day off work tomorrow and it's supposed to reach 7 degrees Celsius with rain, wind and hail forecasted, so I'm planning on playing with my new products in the warmth - stay tuned for more Christmas cards that will hopefully inspire you to create your own.

Happy crafting,

Kristina x

Christmas in August?

Hi,

Thank you for  visiting my blog!

I'm sharing my first Christmas card made using the new goodies from the Holiday Catalogue, available now for demonstrators and on the 4th September for everyone else. I have so many designs in my head, but I've gone with a starry theme that works for friends in both hemispheres at Christmas.

I'd love your feedback!

Thanks,

Kristina

A Little Lace Cards after our Sydney Trip

Welcome to my blog!

We had an awesome weekend in Sydney and appreciated the warm sunny days.

Garry and I walked around the Botanic Gardens just in time to enjoy the sunset behind the Opera House. We didn't realise it was such a lovely view and it was a popular spot for tourists to take photos. We timed it perfectly by accident.

We enjoyed visiting the Maritime Museum and seeing the exhibitions as well as exploring the replica of the Endeavour before she sails to New Zealand.

Today I was tired after a busy weekend, so I CASEd cards instead of creating my own designs. I loved Natalie O'Shea's design using A Little Lace stamp set, so I'm sharing some cards I made this afternoon based on her design.

The first two below are cased and the second two are tweaked a little more. I used a different sentiment from the Woven Heirlooms stamp set. It took about 20 minutes to make the cards - using the Stamparatus saves so much time!

I've used Pretty Peacock and Rococo Rose Designer Series Paper (DSP), Scalloped Linen Ribbon and Faceted Gems. The large stamp is from A Little Lace. The card base and centre (attached with Stampin' Dimensionals) are Crumb Cake cardstock.

The second two cards used up the rest of the DSP. I've used matching markers to add an inked border around the centre card and Seaside Spray ribbon and faceted gems to change the design slightly. The stamps are stamped using Early Espresso.

Which design and/or colour do you prefer?

If you have any questions about the techniques, designs or products used, please contact me. You can see Natalie's original design here: https://www.natalieoshea.co.uk/make-multiple-hand-made-cards-quickly-and-simply/

I hope you are having a wonderful day,

Kristina

A Quick Flowery Card for Today

Hi,

Thank you for visiting! I've made a quick card before heading off to Sydney for the weekend to escape Canberra's cold winter.

The photo was taken on my youngest son's birthday, the 1st of August, at minus 3.5 degrees by Sujay's Photography.

I hope you are enjoying beautiful weather, wherever you are!

Today's Card:

I've used Perennial Essence paper and Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon as a base for this card.

The flowers were made using the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape - the tape comes as individual petals ready for you to peel off and create your flowers and looks great as 4-6 petal flowers. I've used clear Faceted Gems as the flower centres, but you could use the Perennial Essence Floral Centres instead.

I've used the coordinating Soft Suede Washi Tape to create a border inside the card (see below).

The sentiment is from the Magnolia Blooms Stamp set and is stamped using Blackberry Bliss on Balmy Blue cardstock. I've used the larger circle die from Stitched Labels to create a pretty sentiment border. The sentiment is attached using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you are able to find time to enjoy some crafting or spend time with those you love.

Talk soon,

Enjoying Stampin' Up!'s Coordinating Products

Hi,

I hope you are having a wonderful day! Thank you for visiting - I'm always keen to hear from others - what they like, don't like, any suggestions to improve my cards, something that they've learned.

Today I'm sharing a card made using products from different suites. I love how Stampin' Up! coordinates products so well so we can personalise cards and gifts for the people we love.

To make this card:

Card Base: Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Card, backed with Old Olive Noble Peacock Foil Sheet (using Multipurpose Liquid Glue).

Card Front:
I've used the largest Stitched Nested Labels Die with Terracotta Tile cardstock and attached it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The flowers are from the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper - I've cut them out and rearranged them a little closer to each other. I've attached them to each other using Tear and Tape and then attached them to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals for a 3D effect.

I've added Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon in a bow using a Glue Dot and Woven Heairlooms Sequins in coordinating colours for some bling. A few Old Olive rhinestones (from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones pack) on the diecut complement the background foil paper.

Sentiment: The sentiment is from Woven Heirlooms Stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso on Blushing Bride cardstock. It is attached using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I love how this card evolved - I had a completely different sketch and idea to begin with, but the finished card is nothing like my original idea and I am really happy with how it turned out.

I also love how Stampin' Up! coordinates so many products so you can create cards with the products you have and make so many different cards and projects.

Please contact me if you have any questions about techniques or products used, or how you can purchase Stampin' Up! products to create your own beautiful cards.

Take care,

Kristina x

Use your Bonus Coupons from Today!

Hi,

Just a quick reminder that you can use your bonus coupons earned during July when you order in August. I've placed my order this morning - as a demonstrator, you can preorder from the holiday catalogue from today. Don't forget that you can sign up as a demonstrator in August for $169 and choose $280 worth of products from the annual catalogue - this is an extra $45 of products and the deal is only available until the end of August. No strings attached, but if you want to get a head start on your Christmas cards you can then order early from the Holiday Catalogue.

The catalogue is available for everyone to order from on the 4th September. Here is a sneak peek:

There are lots of amazing stamps, dies, embellishments and metallic inks to choose from - it includes Christmas, the New Year, Halloween and many items can be used for general cards too. I'll be busy making lots of cards to share with you when the Holiday Catalogue launches in September to give you inspiration.

I hope you are enjoying your day,

Kristina
