If you want to keep the discount, there is a minimum of $440 every three months (about $117 per month). You can spend this yourself or if you have some customers or friends who order through you, their orders contribute to your quarterly minimum. FAQs
Do you have to hold parties or workshops?
No. You can join just to get the products cheaper. There is no obligation to sell to others.
Do I need an ABN or GST registration to join? It asks me for one on the sign up form.
Even though it asks this question, no ABN is required. You can leave that section blank. You choose NO for GST unless you are earning more than $75,000 with Stampin' Up!
If I join and I don't reach the quarterly sales target ($440 per quarter), what happens? Do I just stop becoming a demonstrator and lose my benefits?
That is correct – there is no fee or lock in contract; you just stop being a demonstrator and no longer receive a discount. Stampin' Up! give you an opportunity to make up what you missed in the previous three months, so you are still active in the fourth month and need to make up what you missed if you wish to continue.
Note: I have joined twice - the first time I was working full time and I didn't have time to play with the beautiful products I had bought, so I stopped. A year later I rejoined and I haven't looked back. Apart from being able to use gorgeous products on my cards, 3D projects and scrapbook pages, I have learned many new skills and have made amazing new friends.
